    環境気温と虚血性脳卒中の発症リスクとの関連を検討した結果、低気温は心原性脳塞栓症(CE)や大血管アテローム性脳梗塞(LAA)のリスク上昇と、高気温はCEのリスク低下と関連した。また、発症5日以内に低温が続いていた場合にLAAのリスクが高まり、気温変動が大きいほどCEが起こりやすくなることが明らかになった。
